DIY Dotted Sharpie mug

Hi everyone! I made this super cute dotted sharpie mug for my 11 year old sister, Emma, for Christmas. She loved it, but then she dropped it and it broke. I decided to make a new one for her. The only thing is last time, I used normal Sharpies, instead of Sharpie Paint pens, so I got to use more colors and I didn’t bake it. I didn’t want the sharpie to wash off, so I used spray on mod-podge to seal it and it ended up blending the colors and making a cool underwater effect… And, then she broke it. 🙂 (I would advise not doing the normal sharpie, mod-podge thing though 🙂 )

Dotted sharpie mug:

Materials:

Directions:

    1. Draw your design on the mug.
    2. Let dry for a couple hours or overnight.
    3. Bake for 30 mins at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. REMEMBER to put the mug before it heats up and leave it in until it’s completely cooled to prevent cracking.

Care and wash:

Hand wash the mug gently to make it last longer. The dishwasher may ruin the design.

Enjoy!

Sharpie Easter eggs

I thought that the Rice crispy eggs would be my last Easter post of the year and then I realized that I hadn’t done an egg decorating post yet so I decided to do these sharpie eggs. We went to our cousins today and dyed eggs so I brought my sharpies and did these! They are so cute! I love the way they turned out. My favorite is the little chick!sharpie eggs- Crafts and Cupcakes.JPGHere’s a close up of the chick!sharpie eggs baby chick-Crafts and Cupcakes.JPGHere’s how to do it:

I found this cute craft at: http://mom.me/holidays/6513-easter-craft-craziness-part-1-sharpie-eggs/

Materials:

  • Sharpies
  • Hard Boiled eggs

Steps:

  1. Boil the eggs (If you add some baking soda to them when boiling they will peel better)
  2. Wait until they cool
  3. Draw whatever design you like on them with the sharpies
