Chocolate chip cookie cups!

Hey guys! Are you ready for the school year to start back up? Maybe I’ll do a back to school post or something. 🙂 I think I’m going to home school this year, and I’m really excited that I won’t have to get up at 6 every morning to get ready (though I know some home-schoolers like to) Also, homeschooling will be a big plus for my blog too, I’m trying to see if blogging could count as one of my electives, like maybe blogging could count as my computer class (I know I’ve gotten a LOT faster at typing since February when I started my blog 🙂 )  Crunchy chocolate chip cookie cups, the insides coated with chocolate, and filled with milk!

Today’s post is: chocolate chip cookie cups! I’ve been wanting to try these for the longest time! I’m surprised that I actually squeezed the time in to do it, we are remodeling and we just got the kitchen ripped out and they are building the new one. (luckily I made these right before they tore it out) They turned out pretty good! (one or two leaked, but you just have to make sure they get plenty of chocolate coating on the inside and they will be perfect!)Crunchy chocolate chip cookie cups, the insides coated with chocolate, and filled with milk!

So, how these work is, you make the chocolate chip cookie dough, and you cook it inside this special pan (I found mine at Michael’s in the baking isle) or the bottom of a extra-deep muffin tin. Once they are cooled, you coat the insides with several layers of melted chocolate and let that dry, ( you can also dip the rims in it to make it extra yummy). Then, you fill them with milk, ice cream, or whatever you want! Continue Reading →

Soft & yummy sugar cookies!

Hi guys! Don’t you just love sugar cookies, I love them, and sadly, I can’t eat them (I have to do the fodmap diet, till’ like december) They have wheat and dairy in them, but they are a great gift!! I love this recipe because they are super simple, you don’t have to refrigerate the dough or anything! I found this wonderful recipe on  itsalwaysautumn.com and I love it! They taste great and are just as fun to make!Soft, yummy sugar cookies with delicious cream cheese frosting!

I mean, who doesn’t love sugar cookies with classic pink frosting! Two people I know had birthdays this week, so I gave them each some!

A big thanks to It’s always autumn for this recipe! My favorite picture by far is this one! I love our vintage measuring spoons!Soft and yummy sugar cookies topped with pink cream cheese frosting!

Cookies:

  • Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons milk (I added a little extra)
  • A dash of vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring
  • Ziploc or decorating bag

Steps:

For the cookies:

  1. Preheat oven to temperature on the bag
  2. Make cookies by mixing cookie mix, butter, and egg
  3. Using a cookie scoop, scoop out dough balls and cut them in half
  4. Roll each half into a ball but for every paw cut one of the halves into three for the toes and roll those out too
  5. Form bunny paw and gently push down the the larger ball because it will cook more slowly
  6. Bake 9-6 mins.
  7. When you remove from the oven immediately press measuring spoon into cookies to make indents for the frosting
  8.  Let cool before frosting

For the frosting:

  1. Mix 3 tsp of milk with the powdered sugar
  2. Add the remaining milk
  3. Add vanilla extract
  4. Add food coloring
  5. Put into a frosting bag or Ziploc bag
  6. Frost cookies once they cool
