Happy Wednesday! How are you guys doing? As many of you know summer is my favorite season, and I am LOVING it! Cute DIY long shelves

Hey guys! So you know the organization posts I’ve talking about for a while? Well in order to get those done, I needed to kinda finish my room, (I’ve been adding some cool touches to it) and part of that was finding or making cute decor to hang up (cause who likes a room with bare walls πŸ™‚ ) and I knew for sure that these were one of the things I wanted in my room! So, the idea of having long shelves for my room originally came from this blog, craftinge, but I did mine a little differently. She stained her shelves dark brown (which looks really nice but my room is more white) and I painted mine white. Hers were six feet long, I made mine five. I pretty much had to make my own measurements because she forgot to tell us them (like how far apart to put them and that kind of thing) But that’s OK, my dad helped me A TON on hanging them up and building them!

Cute DIY shelves!

A couple other thing I have to do before I post the organization posts are:

  1. Pick up my bed frame. (we are having it painted)
  2. Find a cute desk and bedside table.
  3. Get a couple more tubs for my closet.
  4. Hang up a couple more things.

I think that’s it!Super cute DIY long shelves

So, here is the side view of the bottom shelf. And there is my little succulent pot from this post: Super cute succulent pot I still love this little plant!bird and candle

Then I have this adorable little birdie that I got at Michael’s, and this candle I got from Target in the dollar section, in a pack of four. ;)Cute blue crates

I got these adorable blue crates at Micheal’s too! I love them! So for the color scheme of my shelves is kind of turquoise and yellow. :)Super cute shelves!

I got my shelf brackets at home depot, you can see them on the left side of the top shelf there. πŸ™‚ I think this middle shelf is my favorite. I love the things on itCute bird and clipboard

This is one of my favorite things I bought for my shelves! I LOVE it! I got this adorable clipboard and bird from again, Michael’s!  Cute succulent pot!

Here’s another one of my succulent pot!

Cute little planter

I got this adorable little planter for Easter, and decided to use it! Isn’t it cute?Cute set up!

Here are a couple more of those candles and a little lantern I got at Micheal’s! Ok, Now to how to build them!

Cute DIY long shelves

Materials:

  • White paint (or if you want you can stain them)
  • Long sturdy boards mine were 1/2 in thick and 7 inches wide
  • Shelf brackets
  • Paint sprayer (this is what I used) or paint roller
  • Decorations!

Directions:

  1. Cut your boards, I cut mine to 5 feet each.
  2. Paint your boards. You will probably wan’t to let them dry overnight.
  3. Hang them up. I put my top shelf 2 feet down from the ceiling. and 10 inches apart from each other.
  4. Decorate them! for a month before I had these built I was buying stuff for them! Remember this post? That was all for these shelves πŸ™‚

Enjoy!

Super cute succulent pot

Hey guys! I have been dying to share this with you! The other day I went to Michael’s and target and a bunch of other places just for fun, and I knew I wantedΒ to get a succulent plant sometime or another when I saw the cute ones on crafting{e} so I decided to go get one.P1280157.JPG

First, I went to target and got a bunch of cute Easter stuff. I also got these adorable little milk jars for my pictures!P1280170

After that we went to Michael’s. I LOVE Michael’s! It’s got crafting and baking stuff all in one! What! Awesome! Anyway, we literally spent 2 hours in Michael’s, they had a ton of great deals, almost everything was on sale! I had a 40% coupon that I had a hard time using because it was only for regular price items!P1280166.JPG

So at Michael’s they had a great deal on scrapbook paper for 20 cents a page instead of 60 cents a page, so… I got a lot of scrap book paper. Also, the scrapbook paper books that are normally $20 were only $6 so I got one of those to.P1280165

I just couldn’t resist buying these letter G’s. When I was at Michael’s, I also bought the cute little pot my succulent plant is in.Β P1280168.JPGSo I had a baby cakes donut maker, but it was so hard to clean that I sold it, but then I was regretting selling it because I still wanted to make donuts. Solution! get this donut PAN from world market. This will be much easier to clean because you can actually submerge it in water! Last, we went to Lowes to get my succulent plant. They are only $3 a plant there and are well worth it.

I think that this little succulent is too cute! Hope you do too!

Enjoy!
